Digital Marketing Assistant (Remote, Full-Time)
Format: Remote · Full-time (40 hrs/week) · Long-term Language: English (working language — see below) Cooperation: FOP (sole proprietor) contract
About the role
We’re a digital marketing team that manages online presence for a portfolio of service businesses — websites, local search/SEO, Google Business Profiles, paid ads, and content. We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Assistant to own the routine-but-essential execution and quality control that keeps everything running cleanly: organized, accurate, audited, and on time.
This is a hands-on role for someone early in their digital marketing path who is sharp, detail-obsessed, and genuinely wants to learn. You won’t be making the big strategic calls on day one — you’ll be the person the strategists trust to handle the details flawlessly and to flag what’s off. Over time, the role grows with you.
If you like bringing order to chaos, noticing the small thing everyone else missed, and figuring out how to get something done rather than waiting to be told — you’ll do well here.
What you’ll do
Content & SEO support
- Edit, format, and publish blog posts; run on-page SEO checks before they go live
- Update and optimize existing website content (e.g. batches of 5−6 pages at a time)
- Enter and format meta titles, descriptions, and page content in the CMS
- Proofread and lightly edit copy for clarity and correctness
Listings & local presence (Google Business Profile focus)
- Audit and maintain Google Business Profile listings — hours, address, categories, photos, descriptions
- Check Name/Address/Phone (NAP) consistency across directories and citations
- Build lists of new citation/directory opportunities
Social & reviews
- Schedule and publish social posts
- Help manage and draft responses to reviews
Audits & comparisons
- Run checklist-based audits of web pages — assess which version is stronger and why, against defined criteria
- Compare our pages and listings against competitors (layout, content depth, calls-to-action, gaps)
- Check for broken links, 404s, and image/loading issues
- Run cross-page consistency audits and document findings clearly with screenshots
Files, organization & process
- Keep Google Drive organized — folder structure, naming conventions, version control, no duplicates
- Format and clean up Google Docs and Sheets
- Build and maintain simple SOPs, checklists, and short screen-recorded walkthroughs
- Spot inefficiencies and suggest better ways of doing things
Research & problem-solving
- Research local markets, competitors, and opportunities for specific locations
- Find data, tools, and solutions to recurring problems
- «Figure out how» tasks: given a goal, come back with 2−3 ways to reach it
Reporting support
- Pull and organize ad reports, screenshots, and data files
- Update trackers and dashboards; flag anything that looks wrong
What we’re looking for (must-haves)
- English — you can read, write, and hold a working conversation comfortably. You understand digital marketing terms and instructions clearly. (This posting is in English on purpose — if you’re reading it comfortably, that’s a good sign.)
- Ability to work in a different time zone (EST time zone US)
- Confident with Google Workspace — Docs, Sheets, and Drive are second nature (formatting, organizing, renaming, version control)
- Detail-obsessed — you catch the typo, the broken link, the inconsistent format. This is 80% of the job.
- Resourceful — you try to figure things out before asking, and you ask good questions when you do
- Process-minded and reliable — you follow through, hit deadlines, and keep things tidy
- Curious and eager to learn — especially about digital marketing and AI tools
- AI Tools (like Claude or ChatGPT) — must be a second nature for you
- Must have a personal computer to perform duties with a stable internet connection and a reliable backup plan for power outages.
Nice to have (not required)
- Any background or coursework in digital marketing, SEO, or related fields
- Experience with Canva, a project tool (Basecamp/Asana/Trello), or any CMS (WordPress, etc.)
- Hands-on use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to work faster
- Familiarity with Google Ads or Google Business Profile interfaces
