CEMARK has an exciting opportunity to join the CAPEX Projects team as a Health & Safety Supervisor (CapEx) who will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across all capital investment projects, overseeing compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. This role includes developing and implementing safety procedures, supervising HSE performance on project sites of CEMARK, and fostering a strong safety culture among employees and contractors. The Capex Health & Safety Supervisor plays a critical role in mitigating risks, preventing incidents, and ensuring that all Capex projects of CRH are executed in line with corporate and legal safety standards.

Key responsibilities:

Health & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure Capex projects of CRH comply with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement safety procedures, and risk management strategies.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety standards.

Supervision & Safety Monitoring:

• Provide direct oversight of HSE activities on project sites, ensuring strict adherence to safety guidelines.
• Ensure that contractors and subcontractors meet safety requirements before and during project execution.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing corrective and preventive measures.

Risk Management & Safety Planning:

• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for Capex projects.
• Implement safe work practices, emergency response plans, and hazard control measures.
• Coordinate with project managers to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.

Training & Safety Culture Development:

• Organize HSE training programs for employees and contractors to promote awareness and best practices.
• Foster a proactive safety culture by engaging workers in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and workshops to reinforce HSE policies.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports.
• Prepare regular reports on HSE performance, highlighting key trends and improvement areas.
• Ensure all safety documentation is up to date and aligned with corporate requirements.

Key requirements:

HSE Knowledge & Regulatory Compliance:

• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to construction and industrial projects.
• Familiarity with international HSE standards (ISO 45001, OSHA, etc.).

Project & Site Safety Supervision:

• Experience in supervising HSE activities on large-scale construction or industrial sites.
• Ability to enforce safety measures and ensure contractor compliance.

Risk Assessment & Incident Management:

• Proven ability to identify workplace hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical skills for investigating incidents and developing corrective actions.

Training & Communication Skills:

• Ability to conduct safety training sessions and engage workers in safety culture initiatives.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
