Chief Operating Officer (Sri Lanka-Collection Agency)

We are a global financial group operating in 28 countries and ranked among the world’s leading fintech companies by loan portfolio volume.

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our established collections business in Sri Lanka and support operational growth across the APAC region.

📍 Location: Sri Lanka (relocation required)

📣 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the collections business;
• Drive portfolio performance, operational efficiency, and achievement of business targets;
• Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth;
• Build and optimize reporting, analytics, and performance management systems;
• Manage collection strategies across different portfolio segments and delinquency stages;
• Oversee relationships with telephony, messaging, outsourcing, and other service providers;
• Lead, develop, and mentor local management teams;
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational best practices.

✍ Major requirements:

• Leadership experience in collections, recoveries, or debt management within a bank, fintech, or collection agency

OR 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Portfolio Manager, or Operations Manager responsible for collections or NPL management in fintech companies/banks;

• English proficiency at B1-B2 level or higher;
• Strong understanding of collections operations and automated dialing systems;
• Knowledge of predictive and progressive dialers and their practical application;
• Proven ability to analyze performance metrics and make data-driven decisions;
• Experience managing teams of 30+ employees;
• Strong leadership skills;
• Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment;
• Proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented approach.
