Furniture Production Technologist / Furniture engineer-constructor

Studio Segreto is looking for a Furniture Production Technologist / Furniture Engineer-Constructor to join our international team and take responsibility for the technical preparation of custom furniture and interior products for production.

We work with custom / bespoke furniture and high-end interior products, including wardrobes, kitchens, wall panels, doors, built-in furniture, and complex bespoke pieces.

We are looking for a specialist who understands not only how to design and draw a product, but also how to manufacture it in real production.

Hands-on experience with aluminium profiles is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop technical and manufacturing documentation for custom furniture and interior products.
• Prepare and check working and production drawings.
• Develop furniture constructions taking into account manufacturing technology, materials, hardware, and production capabilities.
• Prepare specifications, cutting lists, part lists, and other documentation required for production.
• Work with bespoke and technically complex furniture products.
• Review architectural drawings, visualizations, and design concepts and translate them into practical technical solutions for production.
• Check designs for manufacturability and identify potential technical issues before production.
• Communicate directly with the production team in Italy regarding technical matters.
• Explain technical solutions to production teams and ensure they are correctly implemented.
• Solve technical issues and adjust constructions directly during the production process when required.
• Support projects from technical development through to production.
• Visit production facilities in Italy when required to provide technical support and resolve production-related issues.

Requirements

• 3−5+ years of experience as a Furniture Production Technologist, Furniture Engineer, Furniture Constructor, or in a similar role within furniture manufacturing.
• Practical experience in custom / bespoke furniture production.
• Strong understanding of furniture manufacturing technologies and joinery.
• Ability to read architectural and technical drawings and independently develop constructive solutions.
• Good knowledge of furniture materials and manufacturing technologies, including MDF, chipboard, veneer, solid wood, lacquer finishes, hardware, etc.
• Confident use of relevant technical software:
  • BAZIS / BAZIS-Mebelshchik — mandatory
  • AutoCAD — mandatory
  • ArchiCAD — desirable
  • TopSolid — a strong advantage
  • SolidWorks or similar software — an advantage
• Understanding of production equipment and manufacturing capabilities is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the technical result.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, production-oriented mindset.

Languages

• Ukrainian — fluent / native
• Russian — fluent / native
• English — working proficiency
• Italian — not mandatory, but a strong advantage

Location & Travel

It would be ideal if you are already based in Italy or willing to relocate to Italy.

However, we are also open to candidates based elsewhere in Europe or Eastern Europe, provided they are willing and able to travel regularly to Italy for production visits.

The candidate does not need to be permanently based at the production facility but must be available to visit the production site when technical supervision, project support, or production-related problem-solving is required.
