Supply Chain & Logistics Manager (Cold Chain Specialist / Middle Level)

About the Company: A Swiss pharmaceutical company delivering innovative biotechnological products and vital vaccines across Ukraine and the CIS region. Due to the highly sensitive nature of our product portfolio, we are looking for a systematic Supply Chain & Logistics Manager (Middle Level) with strong expertise in Cold Chain Management. Your role will directly impact the safety, quality, and availability of lifesaving medicines for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand & Supply Planning:
o Calculate product demand and place orders across international manufacturing sites.
o Monitor stock levels, coverage, and mitigate risks of stockouts, excess inventory, or short-dated products.
o Strictly enforce inventory rotation using the FEA / FEFO principle.
- International & Local Logistics Operations:
o Organize multimodal transport (road, air, sea) from manufacturing plants to the local 3PL warehouse.
o Manage daily operations with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, 3PL providers, and insurance companies.
o Monitor shipments, resolve delivery delays, and manage logistics service provider KPIs.
- GDP & Cold Chain Management:
o Ensure full compliance with GDP guidelines and strict temperature conditions (+2…+8 °C, -20 °C, ultra-low).
o Read, evaluate, archive temperature logger data, and handle temperature deviation procedures (Deviations / CAPA).
- Customs & Import Documentation:
o Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation: Purchase Orders, Proforma/Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, CMR, AWB, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Quality, and Import Permits.
- Cost Control & Cross-Functional Alignment (S&OP):
o Audit carrier invoices and rates; analyze freight, customs, 3PL, and insurance costs to identify cost-optimization opportunities.
o Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycles; collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Procurement, and Warehouse teams.
o Coordinate product recall procedures ensuring full trace-ability and regulatory compliance.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education: University degree in Logistics, International Trade, Economics, Pharmacy, or Biotechnology.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical supply chain & logistics (mandatory).
- Cold Chain Expertise: Proven track record in managing Cold Chain logistics for temperature-sensitive biologics/vaccines.
- Regulatory Standards: Deep knowledge of GDP rules, Incoterms 2020, customs clearance procedures, and temperature deviation management.
- Languages: English B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher for daily business communication with international stakeholders.
- IT Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, formulas) and practical ERP system experience.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, personal accountability, and strong problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.
