Quality assurance engineer

EPTISA Ukraine is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and support the implementation and supervision of an international water infrastructure project in Ukraine.

About the Role

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for monitoring the quality of civil works, materials and equipment during project implementation, ensuring compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, applicable standards and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the quality of civil works, materials and equipment throughout project implementation.
• Review contractors' QA/QC plans, method statements, inspection and testing plans and quality documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with designs, specifications, standards and contractual requirements.
• Monitor materials testing, laboratory results and quality control procedures.
• Supervise quality aspects of water treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and pipe networks, including associated mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Identify non-conformities and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain quality records and contribute to quality assurance and project reporting.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, contractors and other specialists to ensure consistent quality control across the project.

Requirements

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in quality management of civil works and materials testing.
• Demonstrated experience with water infrastructure construction projects, including:
  • Water Treatment Plants;
  • Pumping Stations;
  • Reservoirs;
  • Water Supply / Transmission Networks.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical equipment associated with water infrastructure projects.
• Experience in a similar Quality Assurance / Quality Control position on at least two successfully completed water infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection and testing procedures and materials control.
• Experience with international projects and FIDIC contracts will be considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational and reporting skills.
• Fluent English is required; knowledge of Ukrainian and/or other local languages will be considered an asset.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and other standard office applications.
