Type of Appointment: Official employment under a fixed-term contract until 11.12.2026 with the possibility of extension.

Salary: 89 200 UAH gross per month (approx. 68 684 UAH net)

MAG seeks to save lives and build safer futures by providing risk education to communities, to help them stay safe. MAG is also in the process of seeking accreditation to start conducting explosive ordnance disposal and demining activities in Ukraine, to save the lives of people affected by the conflict.

Responsibilities:

• Partnership Management and Coordination:
  • Research to identify and evaluate potential partners, understanding their goals and how they align with MAG’s objectives, and support the maintenance of MAG’s Stakeholders database;
  • Support the due diligence process ensuring alignment with MAG’s objectives and donor requirements;
  • Facilitate the development and signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and partnership agreements, ensuring clarity on roles, responsibilities, and expectations;
  • Support regular coordination and communication with partners to ensure strong, trust-based relationships and mutual accountability;
  • Organize joint planning, review, and learning meetings with partners to enhance collaboration and adaptive programming;
  • Translate relevant documents and provide translation from Ukrainian to English and from English to Ukrainian when needed.
• Programme Support and Monitoring:
  • Support the design and delivery of programmes that foster local leadership, enhance community ownership, and ensure alignment with humanitarian and development principles and best practices;
  • In collaboration with relevant MAG departments, track the progress of partnership initiatives, assess impact, and ensure the accuracy of partners' reports;
  • Work closely with programme and technical teams to ensure partner activities align with programme objectives;
  • Conduct field visits (where security allows) to monitor partner-led activities, gather feedback, and provide technical support;
  • Support partners in developing and submitting high-quality narrative reports, ensuring compliance with donor and MAG’s guidelines.
• Compliance:
  • Ensure partner organizations comply with donor regulations, MAG’s policies, and safeguarding standards;
  • Support due diligence assessments and assist partners in addressing capacity and compliance gaps;
  • Perform any other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Essential Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years working in a similar role, capacity-strengthening, or project coordination in an INGO or NGO in Ukraine with transferrable skills;
  • Experience facilitating capacity development sessions;
  • Experience in developing successful relationships with NGOs and partners;
  • Previous work experience with local civil society organizations is desirable.
• Essential Skills and Knowledge:
  • Understanding of project cycle management, donor compliance requirements, and sub-grant management;
  • Solid understanding of the application of the humanitarian / development / peace nexus, and localization principles;
  • Good understanding of civil society in Ukraine and the partnership landscape;
  • Knowledge of Mine Action is desirable;
  • Ability and willingness to travel to field locations;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate activities, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work calmly under pressure;
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to demonstrate initiative.
• Language Requirements:
  • Ukrainian: High level / Native fluency (for document review and regular communication with local partners).
  • English: High level (fluent written and spoken communication, including document translation).
