FOCSIV is implementing the project «Razom z Ukrainoiu do Miru: Emergency Response in Support of the Most Vulnerable Population in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions» (19/UCR/013157) in Ukraine, specifically in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv Oblasts. The project is funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
Within the framework of this initiative, FOCSIV intends to select 2 (two) qualified consultantsto provide the services described in this document.

Terms of Reference — Position
Mining Risk Reduction Officer
Objective
The consultancy aims to support the Project Managerin the implementation of Activity 5.7 — Mining Risk Reduction Education Awareness Campaignin the Kharkiv and Dnipro regions.
Job Description
The Mining Risk Reduction Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Participate in the planning of activities in coordination with the Project Manager, the MRR Consultant, and the Communication Officer;
- Prepare age-appropriate educational sessions, tailored to the participants' level of understanding;
- Coordinate with schools, local partners, and project staff to facilitate the implementation of activities;
- Conduct awareness-raising sessions for children and/or adolescents, using interactive and participatory methodologies;
- Support the development of games and interactive educational tools aimed at raising awareness of Mining Risk Reduction;
- Plan and develop an awareness-raising campaign on Mining Risk Reduction.
Requirements
Education
- Degree in Political Science, Education, strategic studies or a related field
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Education, Psychology or related fields
- Experience in working with children, IDPs, etc.
- Experience in working in schools, shelters, etc.
- Knowledge of Mine Risk Education (MRE/MRR) and/or previous experience in the mine action sector will be considered a strong asset.
Language:
- Native Ukrainian speaker
- Excellent written and spoken English is a strong asset
Other Requirements
- Strong IT skills
- High level of flexibility and adaptability
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Resident to Dnipro/Kharkiv or available to move
- Availability to travel within Kharkiv
- Valid driving license is an asset

Mining Risk Reduction Officer
Goal
The purpose of the consultancy services is to support the project manager in the implementation of Activity 5.7 — an information and educational campaign to reduce mine risk in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Job description
The Mine Risk Reduction Specialist will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
- Participate in planning activities in coordination with the project manager, mine risk reduction consultant, and communications specialist;
- Preparing educational sessions adapted to the age and level of understanding of the participants;
- Coordination of actions with schools, local partners and project staff to ensure the successful implementation of events;
- Conducting informational and educational classes for children and/or adolescents using interactive and participatory methods;
- Support the development of games and interactive educational materials aimed at raising awareness on mine risk reduction;
- Planning and development of an information and educational campaign on mine risk reduction. Requirements
Education
- Diploma in political science, education, strategic studies or a related field
Professional experience
- At least 1 year of work experience in education, psychology, or related fields
- Experience working with children, internally displaced persons (IDPs), etc.
- Experience working in schools, shelters, etc.
- Knowledge of Mine Risk Education (MRE/MRR) and/or previous experience in mine action would be a significant advantage
Languages:
- Ukrainian is my native language.
- Excellent written and spoken English will be a significant advantage
Other requirements
- Strong computer skills (IT skills)
- High level of flexibility and adaptability
- Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail
- Residence in Dnipro or Kharkiv (or willingness to relocate)
- Willingness to travel within the Kharkiv region
- Having a valid driver’s license will be an advantage
