Agricultural Engineer, Head of Crop Production

Location: Western Ukraine, Transcarpathia Region

Farm Size: Approx. 5,000 ha arable land

we are seeking an experienced and highly qualified professional to assume the position of Head of Crop Production within our large-scale arable farming enterprise in Western Ukraine. This senior leadership role encompasses full responsibility for the strategic planning, operational execution and continuous optimisation of all crop production activities. The successful candidate will ensure high agronomic performance, operational excellence and sustainable land management across the entire production area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and oversee the strategic and operational crop production plan
• Lead, supervise and coordinate the agricultural workforce, ensuring efficient resource allocation
• Manage all field operations, including soil preparation, planting, crop management and harvesting
• Oversee the machinery fleet, including investment planning, utilisation, maintenance and lifecycle management
• Ensure full compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and documentation requirements
• Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and adoption of modern agricultural technologies

Candidate Profile

• Formal agricultural qualification (technical college, university degree or equivalent)
• Extensive professional experience in arable farming, ideally within large-scale or industrial operations
• Proven leadership capability with strong organisational and managerial skills
• Solid technical understanding of agricultural machinery and production systems
• Experience with digital agriculture platforms or precision farming technologies is advantageous
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multicultural team environment
• English and/or German language skills are beneficial
