About Encast
We are a young and energetic company. In the last two years we have built and tested our product with large potential customers. The results are good. We have signed our first commercial agreements and are preparing to scale further. In this next phase we need to prepare for large volumes, and we need to add new features. We are well funded.
Our service
In short, we help the owners of solar parks and wind turbines to optimize their income. Their income is a combination of subsidies and selling the produced energy at the different energy markets (day ahead, intraday and imbalance). In essence Encast is a data company collecting data from many different sources and creating value with this. Example of data sources we use: data of subsidized projects in the Dutch market, detailed weather data, the actual production data of the solar/wind plants, energy prices from the energy markets, etc. With this data our AI/ML platform can provide a detailed forecast for each solar and wind asset and even for own consumption. We use the forecast and other data to decide the best strategy to optimize the asset income.
Interested asset owners can register via the Encast website and use our service for free for a couple of months. This enables them to compare the Encast results with the pay-out they currently receive from their energy supplier. Currently we only operate in the Dutch market, but when we are ready, we would like to expand abroad.

We have a small team of 4−5 FTE and now start to look for expansion. We all work remotely and have our virtual Encast office at Teamflow. Our language is English as the team hosts people from Macedonia and The Netherlands.
Our backend is built in java and python based on a microservices architecture (Docker, GitLab, etc). We use relational databases. Our frontend is based on Flutter.
