The Bank of Georgia is announcing the vacancy for the position of DB Administrator.

Duty Station: Tbilisi, Georgia

DB Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and supporting mostly Oracle 10g based systems in infrastructure environment, as well as other types. New server deployment/rollout, workout deployment process document, troubleshooting.

Skills & Experience:

• Higher education in Technical Sciences (Information Technologies or Math);
• Min. 3 to 5 years of working experience as a DB Administrator.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Oracle database and related products and tools.
• Good understanding of operating systems.
• Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring.
• Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery.
• Knowledge of Oracle security model and management.
• Fluent in PL/SQL and familiar with all Oracle supplied packages.
• Strong knowledge of *NIX type OS and servers hardware part.
• Minimum 5 year of work experience in relevant field.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and maintain Oracle server software and related products.
• Evaluate Oracle software features and Oracle related products.
• Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures within the organization.
• Perform database/application tuning and performance monitoring.
• Plan hardware upgrade in terms of capacity planning.
• Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required.
