Job Purpose

We are looking for DevOps engineer with software development experience. Software engineers with relevant experience are also welcome.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Working under the direction of the staff to perform daily commits of changes to monitoring infrastructure and configuration

·         Developing new monitors for services and applications run by Hosted Services

·         Support production operations and resolve requests for changes and fixing malfunctioning monitors

·         Investigate issues with monitoring reported by production operations

·         On-call support rotation

·         Due diligence on new tools and solutions

Skills & Abilities:

·         The candidate may be required to fulfill on-call duties

·         Have skills in time management while working on multiple issues.

·         Experience in managing instances on Amazon Web Services

·         Understanding of DNS, LDAP and networking essentials is recommended.

·         Knowledge of Java, Perl, NodeJs, Ruby, MongoDB is a plus

·         VMWare experience is a plus

·         Nagios experience is desired.

·         Chef experience is desired.

·         Experience in designing and delivering monitoring solutions is a plus.

Experience:

·         1+ years working with AmazonLinux/CentOS/Debian systems, including system administration skills

·         1+ years experience in developing tools and scripting

·         Web development experience is a plus
