Extensive work with migrants and asylum seekers, including regular visits to Temporary
Detention Centers for Foreigners and Stateless Persons to identify and assist asylum seekers
and refugees. Monitoring of conditions in detention to prevent torture, discrimination, or abuse
of power by the administration of the detention center. Identification of victims of human

Coordination of legal and humanitarian assistance for internally displaced persons in
five regions of Ukraine - Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Zhytomyr -
under the Danish Refugee Council project “Protection of Rights, Risk Reduction, and
Strengthening Humanitarian Response for IDPs and Conflict-Affected Individuals in
Ukraine.” Responsibilities included supervising the team of 12 people, monitoring and
evaluating program implementation, hiring staff and the onboarding process for new
personnel, overseeing narrative and financial reporting, and maintaining
communication with donors, government authorities, international, local NGOs, and
other stakeholders. Additional tasks involve conducting field visits and engaging in
advocacy efforts.

Within the “New Face of the Border” project, funded by the U.S. Department of State,
IOM supported the re-staffing of the entry points to Ukraine. IOM also designed an
e-recruitment system, provided its software and hardware, developed modern hiring
procedures, updated training programs for border guards, and assisted with recruitment
advertising. IOM also facilitated the engagement of EU and national experts to ensure
transparency and impartiality of the recruitment process. I was involved as a national
expert in facilitating the transformation of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine to
an effective European Union-compliant law enforcement service and conducted training
courses on human rights for the SBGS officers.
