I would like to apply for Band 3 HCA position because now I know for sure that my future life and career will be closely connected with
NHS.
I have worked as HCA, Band 2 in ITU for 3 years. During this period many difficult and very sad events took place in my personal life(war
in Ukraine , sudden death of my father).Despite all of this, I realised, it was my work in ITU that gave me strength and kept me going.
Work gave me purpose, inspiration, integrity. It made me resilient.
I know everyday as HCA in ITU I will learn something new. It gives me opportunity to be among incredible team of people whose
knowledge and dedication I admire.
I am working toward to get my Healthcare Support Worker certificate, my ELMS training are all updated, I have done my appraisal. I am
expanding my skills. I can set up ventilator and to do safety test, prepare trolley for intubation (without drugs), I can do ECG, check blood
glucose, set up filter for CVVHDF machine. I have assisted nurse to change surgical wound dressing, can changed flexy seal bag, collect
urine sample for culture MC&S.
I have good IT skills.
As a band 3 I would like to develop skills and knowledge and will stay in the NHS.
