MISSIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

Mission 1. Identification and assessment of needs:

1.1.Conducts household surveys and assessments of people in distress, with mental health problems or disabilities.
1.2.Conducts awareness-raising activities as needed.
1.3.Assesses all MHPSS issues at individual and family level.
1.4.Refers to appropriate internal/external services.
1.5.Continues to monitor referred cases for status.

Mission 2. MHPSS activities suggestion:

2.1.Responds to identified needs by providing MHPSS activities in MHPSS mobile teams.
2.2.Organizes and facilitate support groups for the development of psychosocial skills.
2.3.With the support of the HEALTH Project Manager, defines the objectives of the group sessions; develops the activities with the participants concerned.
2.4.Conducts different psychosocial group activities, adapted and appropriate to the specific needs and abilities of each individual.
2.5.Provides psychological first aid when necessary.
2.6.Provides training and awareness-raising sessions for community members and leaders in collaboration with MC to strengthen their skills and knowledge of coping mechanisms.
2.7.Participates in various training courses and meetings.
2.8.Attends weekly supervision with the MHPSS team.

Mission 3. Monitoring and reporting:

3.1.Provides data on MHPSS activities, follows up on individual, group and community cases. Organizes daily and weekly activities.
3.2.Contributes to the regular reporting of the technical activities of its perimeter in connection with HEALTH Project Manager.
3.3.Communicates and collaborates with community leaders, local authorities, youth and women's groups or organizations and other NGO partners.

Mission 4. Contribution to ensuring HI's technical influence within its scope:

4.1.Contributes to the influence of HI expertise: can represent HI MHPSS technical expertise in relevant local networks and with local partners. Supports the coordination of MHPSS service delivery with the affected communities.
4.2.Identifies relevant opportunities, allies and entry points at sectoral, cross-sectoral, national and local levels (humanitarian coordination mechanisms, government/state actors, civil society actors, etc.) to promote reliable, useful and supportive MHPSS strategies, programs and data systems.
