Live Media HUB (Novyny.LIVE, TyKyiv web redesign) Chernihiv, Ukraine, Remote
Owned end-to-end web UX/UI for two ad-monetized media sites: Novyny.LIVE (national news) and TyKyiv.
Designed mobile-first experiences (≈90% traffic on mobile web) with fixed ad slots and SEO/perf limits.
Worked directly with the CEO as design decision-maker; partnered with dev and editorial for delivery.
Built a design system from scratch: grid, spacing, typography scale, icons and components with states.
Redesigned core pages: homepage feed, categories, article, tags, authors, built from zero “Context” columns.
Reworked global navigation (header, burger menu, footer) for predictable browsing on mobile and desktop.
Improved long-read UX via typographic hierarchy, vertical rhythm and content-first layouts for deep scroll.
Designed within fixed ad-slot constraints to protect layout integrity and keep editorial content readable.
Aligned new templates with a custom CMS; drove admin updates needed to support new blocks and layouts.
Prototyped an upgraded search UX/UI.
