Senior SEO Content Writer

About the role

The 66th is a Canadian SEO and GEO agency working with clients in the US and Canada. We’re hiring an experienced SEO content writer to own client content from research through publishing. You’ll work directly with our SEO team and have real influence on how client sites perform in search.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years writing SEO content. We’d love to see examples of pages you’ve written that ranked and brought in traffic or leads.
• Native or near-native English, written and spoken. Our clients are based in North America and the writing has to read that way.
• A solid grasp of technical SEO: search intent, on-page structure, internal linking, topical coverage, and how to read a SERP.
• Comfort with Ahrefs or Semrush, Google Search Console, and LLM tools like ChatGPT or Claude.
• A self-directed working style. You can take a brief, ask the right questions, and move without daily check-ins.
• Ability to deliver outcomes. You care whether a piece ranks and converts, and you want to know when it doesn’t so you can improve it.
• Reliable on deadlines and careful with details.

What you’ll do

• Write English-language SEO content: articles, landing pages, product and service pages, comparison and category pages.
• Do keyword and SERP research, often building your own brief before writing.
• Edit and rewrite existing content that isn’t performing, and share your reasoning for the changes.
• Work with the SEO team on the strategy for the customer.
• Match each client’s tone of voice and stay consistent across an ongoing content program.
• Stay involved after publishing. If a page is underperforming, identify possible problems and troubleshoot.

Working conditions

• Fully remote.
• Flexible hours. The agency runs on PST, so you’ll need to be available in the evening Kyiv time for team meetings.
• Pay per piece, agreed individually based on scope and complexity.

A note on the team

The 66th is based in Canada and the founders are a Ukrainian-Canadian team. Most of our work is in English with US and Canadian clients, so fluent written and spoken English is essential.
