HR Generalist, Compliance Manager

Job Summary: The Human Resource Generalist operates the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, which include administering pay, benefits, and leave, as well as enforcing company policies and compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee the adherence to compliance requirements across documentation, internal controls, and employee records in line with the US laws and regulations.
• Report to regulatory agencies, review and disseminate compliance policies, and keep the organization updated on relevant legal and industry developments.
• Stay updated on HR trends, technologies, and talent management strategies for continuous improvement.

• Assist with recruitment and interviewing, collaborating with departmental managers for required skills assessment.
• Proficient in payroll processing and benefits management, ensuring smooth employee compensation and HRIS updates.
• Skilled in crafting comprehensive job offers, including NDAs, to attract top-tier talent.
• Efficiently manage the roster and time off, and maintain HRIS systems for accurate data management.
• Assist in employee development and recognition programs, fostering a positive work environment.
• Perform additional HR duties, including HR document drafting and audit shadowing, to enhance organizational effectiveness and accountability.
• Perform all other duties as assigned

30/60/90 day success measure:

• In the first 30 days, our HR Generalist will become familiar with our company’s HR policies and procedures, setting the foundation for their role.
• By day 60, they will have assisted with all internal processes, demonstrating their commitment to our team’s growth.
• By day 90, they will have handled employee relations issues and provided invaluable HR support to our managers and employees.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
• Understanding of employment-related laws and regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiar with HRIS systems (Breeze, TriNet, Bambboo, etc)

Educational and Language Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Upper intermediate or Fluent/Native level of English is a must.
• Intermediate or Upper intermediate level of Spanish is a big plus.
