DevOps engineer (product development)

Requirements:

• Infrastructure Architecture: Design and develop the infrastructure to support our products and design and develop our applications
• build and maintain Axeos products (PBX, SIP proxy and supporting tools for billing and provisioning)
• CI/CD Implementation: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate the software build, testing, and deployment processes
• design and create tools to mitigate (VoIP) fraude risks
• migrate tools and processes from IPv4 to IPv6.
• implement and enforce best practices for infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards (TLS and ACME)
• understand and make requirements and provide support to ensure smooth application operations and participate in application development
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis, in other words understanding bugs and fixing them
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

• solid knowledge of Linux and package management (Debian)
• proficient in Ansible
• knowledgeable in setting up and maintaining postgreSQL databases, especially python used with SQL DB
• Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GIT and GitLab
• knowledgeable in network and security principles
• Experience with scripting and programming languages like Python, Bash, AWK and SED
• knowledgeable in monitoring and logging tools (zabbix)
• good english in writing

Nice to have:

• programming in C, Rust and/or Java
• knowledge of SIP protocol (and related things like webRTC, RTP)

You get to work with all aspects of Linux on a professional level and can learn all the stuff you do not know yet.

As a devops engineer you will be actively involved in all aspects of the product development and you also manage our custom linux debian distribution. This makes it a unique job as it combines product development, Infra Architecture and IP networking using open source software.

Each PBX (= a single customer) is a VM (VMware and proxmox). As Internet is the basic requirement to be able to use our products you will also deal with many aspects of IP networking. We also integrate our PBX with MS Teams, so all cloud software concepts are part of your daily work.
