Company: Our client is a US-based heavy-haul trucking company (Chicago area), ~50-truck fleet plus a growing office/support team.

Languages: Upper-Intermediate / Fluent English required

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client — a growingAmerican transportation company — for a Remote HR Manager to support their office and driver-facing teams. This is a client-facing role: you’ll work directly with the company’s leadership and department heads (Dispatch, Fleet, Recruiting, Safety, Accounting) onday-to-day HR operations, while workingfully remotely.

What You’ll Do

• Manage full-cycle HR support for a ~15−20 person office/support team (independent contractors, mix of in-office and remote)
• Own onboarding and offboarding processes across departments
• Maintain personnel records, contracts, and compliance documentation
• Support hiring managers with job postings, screening coordination, and interview scheduling
• Handle day-to-day employee relations and policy questions
• Track certifications, renewals, and compliance-related deadlines across departments
• Build and maintain HR SOPs and onboarding checklists
• Coordinate with the Accounting team on payroll-related HR matters

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of HR generalist/HR manager experience
• Fluent English, written and spoken — you’ll communicate directly with US-based leadership and staff daily
• Comfortable working independently and remotely with a US company on US business hours (or significant overlap)
• Prior experience supporting a logistics/transportation company is a strong plus, not required
• Organized, proactive, comfortable owning processes without heavy oversight
