Electronic Engineer

We’re looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our Ukraine field team, supporting flight test. This role owns the electrical/electronics optimization and integration for aircraft systems in the field — not just executing established procedures, but making the engineering calls when problems come up, adapting designs on the fly, and ensuring the electrical architecture holds up under real flight-test conditions. You’ll work closely with the Crew Chief and field team, and report to the Services Lead.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the broader electrical team to optimize electrical/electronics design for wiring harnesses connecting avionics, sensors, and onboard systems — including modifications and fixes made in the field
• Lead electrical integration and troubleshooting, performing root-cause analysis on issues discovered during build or test, and owning the design fix (not just the workaround)
• Make real-time engineering decisions under field conditions and time pressure, balancing schedule against reliability and safety
• Review and sign off on pre-flight electrical checks and aircraft readiness
• Diagnose and resolve electrical/electronics issues in the field, escalating and driving fixes for systemic or recurring problems rather than just flagging them
• Guide and provide technical direction to technicians on the team; review their work
• Document design decisions, build status, root causes, and resolutions
• Own radio/comms system integration and troubleshooting, including design-level adjustments as needed

Requirements

• Formal electrical/electronics engineering background, with strong hands-on experience in assembly, wiring harnesses, connectors, and integration
• Demonstrated ability to design, modify, and troubleshoot electrical systems from schematics — not just follow them
• Strong root-cause troubleshooting skills and sound engineering judgment under field conditions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding field test environment
• Strong attention to detail and rigorous documentation habits
• Experience mentoring or directing technicians
• Ability to pass required security vetting

Nice to Have

• RF/communications systems design experience — a significant plus
• Experience with UAV, aircraft, or similar field-deployed electronic system design
• English speaking — not required, but helpful
