Statutory Accountant (German Speaker)

Job Title: StatutoryAccountant — German Speaker

The big picture:

We are looking for an ambitious Statutory Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the financial departmentacross various European countries and participate in audit processesand year-end closings.

Responsibilities:

• Manage/Review all STAT work in allocated portfolio
• Preparation of monthly tasks such as Flux analysis and Balance sheet recons
• Analyze on a monthly basis the accounts to identify unusual or irregular transactions and make recommendations to resolve
• Provide guidance to other STAT accounting staff and assist with mentoring staff to meet all client deadlines
• Preparation of the year-end financial close activities such as US to local GAAP reconciliations, Local GAAP financial statements and meet all related deadlines
• Key figure for quarterly and year-end audits and main contact with the auditors for the preparation of the PBC list
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting and finance projects

Requirements:

• Bacherlor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Good MS Office Skills
• Advanced Excel Skills
• At least B2 level of German
• Good knowledge of Accounting principles and taxation
• 2−3 years experience working on accounting and taxation
• Ability to organize large amounts of data
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills with proactive, supportive and positive approach
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Flexibility to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements
• SAP ERP knowledge is required
• SSC environment would be an asset
