Middle QA Engineer (API & Integrations)

About the role

We are looking for a QA Engineer (API & Integrations) to join our team.

This is a growth-oriented position that combines manual QA, API testing, and integration testing. You will help ensure the quality of our web platform and API integrations by testing new features, validating integrations, and analyzing application behavior.

During onboarding, a senior QA/BA will mentor you. Over time, you’ll grow into more advanced work — analyzing third-party API documentation, preparing technical requirements, and supporting external partners during integration. It’s a clear path toward a Middle QA / Integration Engineer role.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and — as you grow — with external partners, carriers, customs brokers, and e-commerce platforms to help deliver reliable and scalable integration solutions.

Quality Assurance

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
• Test new features, enhancements, and improvements of our web platform.
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases, checklists, and other test documentation.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
• Analyze application behavior, API requests/responses, and logs to identify the root cause of defects.
• Participate in release validation and quality assurance activities.

API & Integration Testing

• Test REST and SOAP APIs using Postman and SoapUI.
• Validate implemented integrations against business and technical requirements.
• Verify end-to-end integration scenarios and data exchange between systems.
• Read and understand third-party API documentation to support testing.
• Help maintain and update internal API documentation.

What you’ll grow into (with mentorship)

During onboarding you’ll be trained and guided by a senior QA/BA, and over time you’ll take ownership of:

• Independently analyzing third-party API documentation (REST/SOAP) provided by carriers, customs brokers, and other partners, and defining integration requirements.
• Preparing clear technical requirements and development tasks for new integrations.
• Leading technical communication with external partners — guiding them through our API documentation and integration requirements during the integration process.
• Processing and analyzing technical requests related to API integrations from internal teams and partners.

Requirements

• 2+ year of commercial experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Experience testing web applications and APIs.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and software testing processes.
• Hands-on experience with functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using Postman and SoapUI.
• Good understanding of the HTTP protocol and experience working with JSON and XML.
• Experience analyzing API requests, responses, and logs.
• Ability to read and understand API documentation.
• Experience creating and maintaining test documentation (test cases, checklists, bug reports).
• Basic SQL skills for querying and validating application data.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence (or similar tools).
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate English (B1+); B2 is a plus and supports faster growth into partner-facing tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenAPI (Swagger).
• Experience with test automation tools, or willingness to develop automation skills.
• Experience in logistics, shipping, customs, or e-commerce projects.
