AI Engineer

Techcom LLC is a U.S.-based infrastructure construction company delivering projects across Telecom, Broadband, Electric, Wireless, EV, and Data Center sectors.

We are looking for an AI Engineer to help us explore, develop, and implement AI solutions across the company. We are open to both full-time cooperation and working with experienced specialists on a project basis, depending on expertise and the proposed approach.

This is a hands-on technical opportunity for someone who understands modern AI technologies and, more importantly, knows how to apply them to real business problems. You will work alongside our existing IT team and other departments to identify where AI can create value, evaluate possible approaches, and turn those opportunities into working solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for AI implementation
• Design, develop, test, and implement AI-powered solutions
• Work with LLMs, generative AI, and machine learning technologies
• Develop AI-powered applications, internal tools, agents, and automations
• Integrate AI solutions with existing systems, APIs, databases, and third-party platforms
• Work with data for AI/ML applications, including preparation, processing, and analysis
• Evaluate AI models and technologies for accuracy, reliability, performance, and business value
• Research AI technologies, frameworks, and tools and determine where they can realistically be applied within the company
• Collaborate with our IT team on integrations, deployment, infrastructure, and security
• Document developed solutions and technical processes

Requirements:

• Commercial experience in AI/ML, AI-focused software development, Data Science, or a related technical field
• Strong Python skills
• Practical experience with LLMs and generative AI
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks, libraries, or APIs
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and model evaluation
• Experience with APIs, databases, Git, and system integrations
• Ability to independently research technical problems and propose practical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to take a business need from initial idea through technical implementation
• English sufficient for technical documentation and communication

Will be a plus:

• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI agents
• Experience with automation platforms and AI-powered workflows
• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions into production
• Knowledge of MLOps
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience developing internal business applications
• Experience with construction, telecom, operations, or other B2B industries
