Accounting Manager in Spain (Valencia)

We are looking for an experienced Accountant / Accounting Manager with knowledge of Spain language, to join our international team.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of accounting and tax management for our Spanish company (taking over from an external accounting firm)
• End-to-end bookkeeping in line with Spanish accounting regulations
• Preparation and filing of tax returns, annual accounts, and other statutory reports
• Handling requests and inspections from the Spanish Tax Agency (Agencia Tributaria)
• Reviewing accounting and administrative documentation
• Overseeing international trade operations (logistics/customs documentation)
• Analyzing transactions from a Spanish VAT perspective for cross-border trade
• Coordinating with tax advisors, auditors, and consultants

Note: payroll and Social Security are handled by an external labor consultancy — not part of this role.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 5+ years in accounting, incl. 4+ years in a similar management-level position
• Previous experience as an Accountant / Head of Accounting in Spain
• Experience with international trade / cross-border operations
• Strong knowledge of Spanish tax law, especially VAT for international trade
• Spanish — professional level (required)
• English — professional level (required)
• Ukrainian or Russian — a strong plus
• Organized, self-sufficient, detail-oriented; comfortable dealing with authorities, auditors, and advisors

• Salary: EUR 1,500−3,000 (gross, approx., to be confirmed)
