The U.S. Mission in Kyiv, Ukraine is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Outside Guard position in the Regional Security Office.

DUTIES: Job holder provides security for U.S. personnel and facilities by conducting security operations as a member of a tactical team of U.S. Embassy guard force personnel. An incumbent monitors, observes, recognizes, and reports potential surveillance and other suspicious incidents directed against U.S. Government facilities and/or personnel and initiates emergency responses to possible hostile actions, as necessary, to safeguard life and property. This position includes driving an official vehicle; therefore an incumbent should have a valid driving license and driving experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Completion of high school is required.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of military, police, or private experience in the field of security is required.
• Language: Limited knowledge of English (writing/reading/speaking) is required. (This may be tested) Good working knowledge of Ukrainian (writing/reading/speaking) is required.
• Driving requirement: Should have a valid driving license (category B) to operate official Embassy vehicle. (Should be able to pass on the road driving test)
