Debt Collection Agent

Position: Debt Collection Agent Work format: online (remote) Schedule: 6/1 — Mon-Fri 09:00—18:30, Saturday 09:00—13:00 Compensation: $700 base salary + bonuses, total income $1,000−1,500

VUKA MONEY (PTY) LTD is a Ukrainian fintech company launching a microfinance institution in South Africa. We are building the collections department from scratch and are looking for agents who will work with South African clients in English and grow with us from the project launch to building a team of their own.

Responsibilities:

• Handle overdue accounts of South African clients (calls, messages, negotiations) in English;
• Identify the reasons for delinquency and find solutions to settle the debt;
• Meet the targets for collected amounts;
• Maintain the client database and record results in the CRM;
• Follow scripts, communication standards, and internal policies;
• Work with the risk and quality control departments.

Requirements:

• English at C1 level or higher is mandatory; all client communication is conducted in English;
• Experience in debt collection (soft/hard collection) is an advantage, but we also consider candidates with a background in sales or contact centers;
• Negotiation skills and the ability to handle objections;
• Stress resistance and a results-driven mindset;
• Readiness for a high workload during the shift; most of the time is spent working with clients;
• Stable internet connection of at least 100 Mbps (Speedtest results required);
• Your own working PC or laptop;
• Readiness to work a 6/1 schedule.

Nice to have:

• Experience in a microfinance organization, bank, or collections agency;
• Experience with CRM systems and IP telephony;
• Experience working with English-speaking clients.
