Remote Residential HVAC Estimator

Central Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced HVAC Estimator to support our residential new-construction projects in the United States.

We are a stable, family-owned HVAC company based in North Carolina. This position is ideal for someone who is accurate, organized, comfortable communicating in English, and interested in building a long-term career with an American company.

About the Position

You will be responsible for reviewing residential construction plans, completing HVAC calculations, preparing material and labor estimates, and developing accurate proposals for builders and general contractors.

You will also use CAD software to review, prepare, and update HVAC drawings and layouts.

You will collaborate remotely with our project managers, purchasing department, vendors, builders, and field operations team. Because this role involves daily communication with our U.S. team, advanced English and availability during Eastern Time business hours are essential.

Primary Duties

• Review residential blueprints, floor plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Create detailed HVAC estimates for new residential construction projects.
• Complete residential HVAC load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Review, prepare, and update HVAC drawings and layouts using CAD software.
• Determine required equipment, materials, labor, and installation costs.
• Prepare professional proposals and bid packages.
• Confirm project scope, pricing, changes, and technical requirements with builders and vendors.
• Coordinate with project managers, purchasing, and operations after a project is awarded.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and organized project files.
• Manage several bids and deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
• Recommend cost-saving or value-engineering solutions that maintain company quality standards.
• Monitor changes in equipment pricing, building codes, manufacturer requirements, and HVAC industry practices.
• Attend daily Zoom meetings and communicate with the team throughout your scheduled shift.

Candidate Requirements

• At least two years of HVAC estimating experience.
• Experience performing residential HVAC load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Proficiency with CAD software; AutoCAD experience is preferred.
• Ability to review, create, and modify HVAC drawings and layouts.
• Understanding of residential HVAC equipment, ductwork, and installation practices.
• Ability to accurately interpret residential plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Advanced spoken and written English.
• Confidence communicating in English during live Zoom meetings and professional conversations.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a remote team.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience with U.S. residential new construction is preferred.

Schedule and Compensation

• Fully remote position available to candidates located in Ukraine.
• Full-time employment: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Eight-hour shift scheduled within our 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Eastern Time operating hours.
• Compensation of approximately 80,000−110,000 UAH per month ($1,800-$2,400 USD), depending on experience, English proficiency, and CAD skills.
