About MAG
MAG is an international organisation that has been clearing land of explosive ordnance and educating communities about the risks it poses in more than 34 countries worldwide for over 30 years. MAG saves lives and builds futures by working with others to restore land contaminated by the remnants of conflict, reduce the daily risk of death or injury to civilians, and create safe conditions for development.
In 1997, MAG shared the Nobel Peace Prize as a founding member of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. Our vision is a safe future for men, women and children affected by armed violence or conflict.
Our Mission
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022, Ukraine has experienced heavy artillery shelling, missile and air strikes, as well as the use of landmines and cluster munitions. The scale of the conflict and the use of powerful and indiscriminate weapons require an immediate response. MAG’s mission is to save lives and build a safer future by providing people with risk education to help them stay safe and survive.
MAG encourages applications from people with disabilities. We are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive working environment where all employees feel respected and supported in realising their potential.
Our organisation has been recognised as critically important for the functioning of the economy during a special period under Ukrainian law.
