Head of IFRS reporting group
✓ Building of IFRS group team of 5 people from scratch: hiring, on-boarding,
training, projects execution support and review, career pass development,
assessment, team building.
✓ Preparing IFRS financial statements: stand-alone for the Epicentr K,
Epicentr K Group financial report audited by Ernst & Young, agricultural sector
Group report, management IFRS combination for the companies under
common control. Three business units in scope: retail, agro, development.
✓ Conducting IFRS learnings for the IFRS team and accounting department
bookkeepers (15-20 person): preparing presentations, materials, and
examples for main standards, explaining complex IFRS issues and
methodologies for new standards (IFRS 15, 16, 9).

Main achievements
✓ Built team from scratch of 5 people which resulted in first time ever
complete group accountability and first complete set of financial statements
for management reporting, audit, and external stakeholders’ purposes.
✓ Created a structure of IFRS reporting for 3 business units of the group
from scratch. As a result, Audit for 2018 had been passed for 2.5 months
instead of 7-8 and with a significant decline in audit fees.
✓ Through presentations, training and learnings accounting department
obtained knowledge and understanding of IFRS principles and reporting
requirements, tax and audit risks that impacted the overall involvement of the
accounting department in financial and risk analysis, developed proactive
critical thinking, and in some cases even optimized cost structure.
✓ The company implemented IT technical task instruments developed by
IFRS team such as structured technical task template usage. This helped to
increase the efficiency of the IT team, prioritize projects and requests,
removed duplicates, and started the process of full documentation procedure
of IT solutions.
✓ The company implemented indoor warehouse improvements
recommended by IFRS team to spur inventory turnover. To mitigate
accounting issues in inventory we investigated the whole process and noticed
bottlenecks in the external warehouse.
