Career history
2017 – 2019 Electrician Engineer, Metropoliya Management Company, Kyiv, Ukraine.
Developed single line diagrams, equipment layout diagrams, made design arrangements for relay protection and automation. Design of cable constructions, air power lines and cable lines, transformer substation sets etc.
2019 – 2025 Automation Control System Engineer. Corporation ElektroPivdenMontazh, Kyiv, Ukraine.
Involved at each phase of design and implementation solutions in substation (from 6kV to 750kV) and power stations. Design drawings and explanatory notes, carry out adjustment of selected equipment (IED`s, protection terminals, SCADA) with integration it into SCADA system. Design HMI and graphical environment for users. Programming PLC`s, managed ethernet switches, time sources and other equipment. Create LAN at substation with PTP or HSR, if it needed.
Took a part in construction and commissioning at Sumy 330kV substation (was 1 of 2 SCADA engineer there) and was leading automation engineer at Progressivka 330kV substation. Also was involved in other smaller projects, which I’ve done by myself or in pair with someone (like HMI for 35kV substation or for differential protection at Ferosplavny and Metallurgical combinate in Zaporizhia). Among recent projects there are data acquisition system at South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) based on WinCC and HMI for Rzeszów – KhNPP 400kV line.
03.2025 – 03.2026 System Administrator. National Antarctic Scientific Center, Vernadsky Station, Antarctica.
Responsible for all types of communication, all local digital equipment, dataflows and drones, communication equipment includes satellite network, Starlink, UHF/VHF and so on. I work with Motorola transceivers and walkie-talkies, so I know all nuances and diagnostics involved. Another part is local network, I created real-time monitoring system based on Suricata + Arkime and as GUI used NTOPNG. New Wi-Fi bridges were created by me on our island to secure link between laboratories.
Implemented into operation and troubleshooted different scientific devices like Micro Rain RADAR MRR. Also, adjusted ComAP controllers for diesel engines to enable automatic synchronization and black start.

Skills
Autodesk – basic knowledges about whole family of program solutions except AutoCad (enough or higher). Excellent knowledge in AutoCad, and, especially, in AutoCad Electrical. Mainly, most of my projects were created by me in it. Familiar with Revit. I can create electrical schemas for cabinets, structural plans and other chapters of technical documentation.
Excellent knowledge in MicroSCADA by ABB (can create wide variety of custom components and objects), know it’s language – scil.
Know Siemens software WinCC and Tia Portal (step 7) family. Can create and manage project, connect signals to it and create visual representation.
Commissioned a wide range of devices with IEC-61850 standard and protocols (MMS, GOOSE), also with PTP and PRP. Successfully commissioned a lot of equipment with it. Also implemented other substation communication protocols like 103/104, DNP3, Modbus. Understand completely TCP/UDP communication as well as serial like RS485 or 232. Can use Wireshark or any other instrument for troubleshooting.
Have experience with different IED`s manufactured by SEL, Siemens, ABB, GE etc. Full cycle from installation to configuration and commissioning. Also integrated protectional terminals and relay from Siprotec and REB, REC, REL up to some other popular device.
Worked a lot with SEL RTAC and ABB RTU devices, created HMI and made interlocking on substation based on them. Collected a bunch of different signal types, familiar with different modules for them, worked with standard software.
Was involved in SEL Travelling Wave SEL-T400L installation and setting on 750kV substations in Ukraine.
At the Vernadsky station worked with ComAp devices, created automation switchover between diesel generators, adjusted synchronization between them.
Windows – I well know all versions (above WinXP), familiar with PowerShell and administration. I am able to create simple custom apps for Windows connected to SCADA program to wide functionality and provide more information. Also, PhD project involves Python so I’m also works with it – can conduct some calculations or file processing, train AI models, etc.
Linux – worked a lot with Debian and Arch (as a hobby). Can implement bash scripts, manage programs etc. Created DPI machine to monitor local network.
I have advanced knowledge in Matlab/Simulink, can simulate and calculate physical processes, also design digital filters, fuzzy logic controllers.
Mathcad – perfect knowledge in calculations, processing etc.
Sure user of MS Office, especially Word and Excel, also at appropriate lvl. PowerPoint and ProjectManager.
In addition, have some experience of use PowerFactory (DigSilent) and ELCUT.
