Worked across 5–6 commercial web and mobile products, including a medical imaging platform, a multi-application marketplace
for private chefs, and an offline-first wildlife survey application.
Medical Imaging Platform
• Led the end-to-end technical implementation of a medical platform for storing, managing, and viewing DICOM studies, serving
as the primary full-time developer from initial research and architecture design through implementation and delivery.
• Designed the platform architecture from the ground up, including the Next.js application, backend services, database structure,
authentication flows, role-based permissions, medical file workflows, and secure access to private imaging infrastructure.
• Implemented DICOMweb integrations using STOW-RS for storing DICOM objects, QIDO-RS for querying studies, series, and
instances, and WADO-RS for retrieving DICOM data, metadata, and rendered images.
• Integrated Orthanc with S3-backed storage and isolated the DICOM server behind an authenticated proxy using AWS API
Gateway, Lambda, signed URLs, role-based access control, cookie- and token-based authentication, and audit logging.
• Designed upload, storage, and retrieval workflows for large medical imaging files, including individual mammography DICOM
files reaching 2–3 GB.
• Customized and integrated the open-source OHIF Viewer into the primary web platform, adapting its responsive layout, touch
interactions, toolbar, viewport controls, navigation, and desktop-oriented functionality for mobile devices.
• Conducted extensive technical investigation into DICOM infrastructure, browser-based medical imaging, large-file transfer
constraints, authentication models, and integration of open-source medical technologies.
