My name is Aliona, I am 21 years old and I am on my way to become a certified English teacher with a broad experience. Currently studying at Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereyaslav to receive Master’s degree in English language and literature for teachers.
Throughout my school years, I studied English additionally with a fluent teacher from United States of America, and two years ago worked with him for 2 months as an assistant for his English rhetoric class. Prior to that, I had been working at a local linguistic school as an English teacher for several groups of both kids and adults who had an A1-A2 level of knowledge. Additionally, for the past two years, I have been self-employed and worked with 3 students as their tutor.
For the last year I have been working as an English teacher in Goncharenko centre with several big groups of adults, covering all necessary language skills and speaking additionally.
During my studies at KPI, specifically summer 2023, I got an internship at Justus-Liebich University in Germany, it was a great experience that enhanced my speaking skills, as I communicated there solely in English. At the end of my stay there, I gave a 20-minute presentation on my work in English, and preparation for that has given me broad knowledge on English scientific terms.
Studying chemical technology at KPI was a magnificent experience, but I recently have come to realize, that this field is not for me, and that is how I opened the world of teaching English to others. My current studying experience proves my conviction should not be futile, as I am motivated beyond measure and see my future in this profession. I would be thrilled to work with such great and competent people alongside.
