SUMMARY
10+ years in backend engineering on Java, six of them writing production code day to day, then two years leading a cross-
functional team of 9 and four years as Engineering Manager of up to 3 teams (18 engineers) at PitchBook, on a reliability-critical,

• Owned architecture end to end across 30+ microservices (Core, BFF, Frontend) and data-ingestion pipelines on a reliability-
critical financial-data platform.
• Stayed hands-on in technical design and code review: made and reviewed design decisions across the platform and reviewed
the team's code alongside the Team Leads.
• Drove the on-prem to cloud migration: moved 25+ microservices to Google Cloud and Kubernetes with two teams in about
six months, running a full parallel copy so traffic could switch back instantly.
• Strengthened reliability: co-developed the incident-response plan and led post-incident improvements to harden core
services and reduce recurrence.
• Introduced engineering standards: code review, architecture patterns, technical documentation, and agile ceremonies,
backed by automated feature-test coverage.
• Championed AI-assisted engineering: evaluated, piloted, and rolled out tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot), managing
adoption and buy-in to lift developer productivity and review throughput.
• Directed delivery across up to 3 cross-functional teams (10 Backend, 3 Frontend, 3 QA/SDET, 2 Team Leads), aligning
priorities, estimates, and technical trade-offs with product and stakeholders.

• Built and maintained a task-processing system and the data feeds behind it, from ingestion through to the platform’s own
