Spearheaded 0-to-1 backend architecture for an early-stage Canadian proptech startup building a
B2B2C multi-tenant SaaS platform in the mortgage and real estate domain. Led core engineering
decisions, technology selection, and legacy system consolidation under tight iteration cycles and strict
NDA.
· Architected and implemented a multi-tenant domain architecture with context-aware data isolation
and fine-grained Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) across B2B and B2C user flows.
· Consolidated fragmented legacy services into a high-performance FastAPI Modular Monolith,
significantly reducing complexity and increasing feature delivery speed.
· Engineered high-precision financial calculation and underwriting engines focused on deterministic
numerical accuracy and full auditability.
· Designed production-grade LLM pipelines using vendor-agnostic orchestration (LiteLLM,
Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) with strict Pydantic/JSON schemas for reliable, structured data
extraction.
· Designed database schemas and optimized data access layers using PostgreSQL, AsyncPG,
SQLAlchemy 2.0, and Redis to handle high-throughput read/write patterns.
· Established strict engineering standards including Pytest integration suites, Alembic database
migrations, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure system stability and zero-downtime deployments.
· Collaborated closely with product, design, and domain experts to translate complex financial
