Cover Letter

My name is David Daka. I am a 26 years old young man and feel the job advertised is perfect for me. I am currently studying Medicine in Uzhhorod, Ukraine. I am very fluent in English and Russian. Before coming to Ukraine, I was in the United Kingdom for 6 years where I worked part time at the Morrison’s Local in Oakwood, Leeds. Before that, I worked at a door to door charity fundraising company called Home Fundraising. These gave me invaluable experience. I have had various other face to face interactions with customers and different people through volunteer work at Trinity Cafe in town, bar Staff work at Elland Road Stadium and other interactions with residents in various areas of Leeds during door-to-door awareness projects, often led by myself, done by the large youth group at my church. All these interactions have helped me acquire excellent communication, people and problem handling skills. In Ukraine, I briefly taught english to Ukrainian members of a Ukrainian Christian Church I attended in Zaporizhzhya for free. I am polite, punctual and very computer literate. I am very hard working as I believe that such a skill is required in everything one does. I am always looking to acquire new skills because I also believe there is no end to the gaining of knowledge. As a result, I often find that I very easily adapt and learn new things where ever I find myself. I look forward to hearing back from you.

PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a hardworking and friendly young man, who is very enthusiastic and is always ready to learn new things and meet new people. I am very computer literate and work well in a team. I am experienced in providing excellent customer service in person and over the phone and able to prioritise and handle multiple tasks. Being Head Boy at my School in Zambia has given me good problem handling and leadership skills. I am currently very heavily involved in the vibrant youth group in my church and have therefore gained a lot of experience working with young people. My interests include football and basketball, music and reading books. I intend to finish Medicine and excel as a doctor in future.
