While studying I have obtained knowledge of writing publicistic texts (on various social, economic, lingual topics), scientific texts and business letters. I have got acquainted with structures and principles of texts writing. Also, I am clearly aware of the importance of texts originality, creative approach to writing as well as the importance of required text style (formal, semi-formal, informal).

September 2021- March 2022 I was working as a freelance copywriter and translator of English texts.

Write a publicistic article about Ukraine as possible member of EU. Create catchy heading. Describe pros and cons.

Result:
Ukraine as a member of EU – further success or success further.

Becoming a member of EU changes any country’s life once and forever. But weather those changes for better? Let’s try to find out.
Ukraine has a great potential to be transformed into a country having powerful competitive economy with successful, demanded industry, highly developed infrastructure and high level of people’s life. And entering EU can speed these changes.
Primarily, EU will significantly effect on trade. Being a part of EU will lead to cheaper EU goods. Goods from EU will become cheaper. It will happen as result of removing customs duties which will inevitably cause a reduction of the cost of most goods by 10-15%. We should also expect an increase in milk and meat products from Eastern Europe. The biggest winners will be Ukrainian companies that supply raw materials and semi-finished products to Europe. They are already in demand in this market, and if duties are canceled, they will increase production and profits.
Secondly, Ukraine will get fundamental financial support in the form of credits. International financial institutions, as a rule, are more loyal to countries whose economies are interconnected with the US or EU economies. Therefore, there are more chances to obtain loans from the IMF or World Bank.
Thirdly, economic development will become Ukraine’s constant “citizen”. The EU is about opening up markets and exchange between them. An increase in export and popularization of trade leads to an increase in production, competition and growth of good's quality in order to attract customers as result. All these create new jobs as well as decrease unemployment and crimes caused by poverty.
On the other hand, Ukrainian producers of finished products can have tough sledding because of increased level of competition. And it in it’s turn can cause the decline in production. Increased competition and EU sanitary or environmental standards will lead to closure of many Ukrainian productions within first two years (especially in light and food industries). However, the situation will change for better when our plants and factories introduce European standards.
Moreover, opening of the EU market may lead to a rise in price of domestic products because export will be more profitable than trade in domestic market. In particular, it concerns the prices for electricity and gas produced in Ukraine. However, this process can still be regulated and proper trade politics will be able to save the situation.
By the way, an increase in unemployment is one more possible disadvantage. Ukrainians will have the opportunity to work in Europe which means the loss of domestic market workers.
In conclusion, it is worth mentioning that changes should not be afraid of. You never know what way will be correct without trying it. But of course detailed analysis gives more confidence in further actions and helps avoiding rude mistakes. In general, Ukraine has all chances to become a part of EU and become truly prosperous country.

Task:
Write an imaginative speech on behalf of any charitable organization representative. The speech should contain greeting, principle information about the organization, fields which it covers, statistics, further plans, contact information.
Result:
Good afternoon! My name is… I am an official representative of Equality Now. It is the organization that has been originally created in 1992, USA. But at the moment it has followers all over the world – from Mexico to Australia, and Ukraine is not an exception. The organization was created in order to protect women from domestic violence. But, as you know, violence exists not only at home and has no gender.
According to research conducted by magazine Meduza, 25% of people in post-Soviet territory have experienced violence at least once. Violence often leads to psychological illnesses and even to murder. The best minds of mankind die from violence, and this only aggravates the personnel crisis and demographic one.
Therefore, Equality Now wants to expand the boundaries and to conduct lectures, distribute brochures and materials and provide shelter to victims. Among lecture topics there are: what is violence, how to recognize it in the early stages and how to protect yourself. The worst thing is that victims of violence often do not realize that they are victims. The main task of our organization is to teach people see real picture of the situation as well as state justice and peace all over the world. If you want to help or you need help, call ***.
