My competence
•Be an effective member of a team During my education processes in military academy
to achieve a successful outcome (20142015), I was appointed on a sergeant position and had
to take responsibility for other eight cadets. In a result of this
assignation my squad was constantly on the top positions in
academy ratings for the end of the week. We also set a
record by taking the 1st place
6 weeks in a row. I have been constantly working on

atmosphere inside our team. The most important step here
was to prove them that we are all equal and the straps on my
shoulders does not change anything. I was sharing the
responsibilities with my teammates like no other sergeants
Teamwork would do and it helped me to earn respect and loyalty inside
my squad.
• Understand your individual role and I was developing this skill all my life throughout
contribution to a team. participating in sport. Football is a great example. My
dream was always to become a striker. When I have joined
my first academy at the age of 6, I started to train as striker
because I only seen myself scoring goals. However, during

When my coach first said “you not going to play striker any
more, we have to try as defender” I was really confused
and upset but I didn’t give up. Next few months of
trainings and games were so different and less enjoyable for
me then before, however exactly at this point I have realised
that I’m a part of team and if being a defender will bring
success

than I will train as defender. Later on, I have also realised
why coach decided to change my position and In the end I
made it to a professional academy level in UK.
A good example of good level of understanding on my
behaviour and what impact it could have on others could be
my experience in military academy. There were 80 cadets to
be taken on course every year. All the same age and with
equal opportunities. However, after first two month officers
had to identify 10 best cadets and appoint them as sergeants.
It happened that I was one of them. At that point it was a

huge responsibility for me and I had to be really smart and
careful about things if I wanted to keep developing.
