Dispatcher (Flatbed Company, Night shift)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate flatbed truck routes for overnight deliveries.

• Communicate with drivers to ensure timely and safe transport of goods.

• Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays.

• Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent service.

• Keep accurate records of dispatch activities.

• Provide roadside assistance when needed, ensuring drivers receive timely support in case of emergencies or breakdowns.

Schedule: Remote, 4:30 PM — 2:30 AM (CDT) (Monday — Friday) and every second weekend

Work duties:

• Working with load requests from dispatchers in the Afterhours Request sheet
• Communicating with drivers and brokers
• Checking load securement
• Providing brokers with pickup and delivery updates
• Maintaining Data Truck
• Checking emails
• Responding to BOL/POD requests and load update requests
• Assisting drivers on the road with truck or trailer breakdowns
• Finding shops, road service, and towing
• Communicating with repair services and getting the best price
• Organizing and paying for repairs
• Maintaining repair invoices and records in spreadsheets/Google Drive
• Providing dispatchers with updates on major breakdowns and delivery delays caused by repairs
• Assisting with fuel cards
• Arranging parking payments
• Finding hotels and taxis for drivers
• Adding, removing, and editing driver profiles in Motive
