About the Role

As our Safety Assistant, you will help your team to secure safe and reliable transportation operations by reducing safety risks, protecting drivers and company assets, and ensuring the company is prepared to respond effectively to issues on the road.

At this position you will be responsible for:

• Monitor drivers' HOS, ELD records, and safety-related activity to identify possible compliance issues on time;
• Assist drivers on the road, including handling tickets and violations;
• Coordinate the response to accidents and emergency situations, ensuring timely action and proper follow-up;
• Communicate with drivers on safety requirements, concerns, and incidents;
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and records;
• Handle other safety-related duties as needed.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience on a Safety-related or Operations role in logistics company (DryVan fleet);
• Excellent verbal and written English skills;
• Understanding of DOT/FMCSA/HOS regulations;
• Strong attention to details;
• Clear and professional communication and negotiation skills.
