Position Title: MEAL Officer
Duty Station: Kyiv
Type of Appointment: Fixed-term up to 11.12.26 subject to potential extensions
Probation period: 3 months

Salary: 77 400 UAH gross/ 59 598 UAH net

MAG is international organization who has been delivering explosive ordnance clearance and risk education globally for over 30 years in over 34 countries. MAG saves lives and builds futures by working with others to reclaim land contaminated with the debris of conflict, to reduce the daily risk of death or injury for civilians, and to create safe and secure conditions for development. MAG shared the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize as a founding member of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines for our work to ban landmines. Our vision is a safe and secure future for men, women and children affected by armed violence and conflict.
Our mission:
Since the Russian invasion of 24th February, Ukraine has been subjected to heavy artillery bombardment, missiles, and air strikes, as well as the use of landmines and cluster munitions. The scale of the conflict and the use of high impact and indiscriminate weapons requires an urgent and extensive response. MAG seeks to save lives and build safer futures by providing risk education to communities, to help them stay safe. MAG is also in the process of seeking accreditation to start conducting explosive ordnance disposal and demining activities in Ukraine, to save the lives of people affected by the conflict.

Responsibilities:
- Experience of monitoring and evaluating complex projects and programmes.
- Experience of developing MEAL Frameworks, logical frameworks, results chains and collecting data set by these frameworks for donor reporting.
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods, including basic statistical and structured qualitative analysis, to support evidence-based evaluation, learning, and reporting.
- Experience developing, leading or overseeing evaluations.
- Experience of carrying out qualitative and/ or qualitative data analysis.
- Previous experience with an NGO would be ideal.
- Knowledge of international humanitarian development needs and related issues (ideally mine action and weapons and ammunition management).
About You:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with a range of people.
- Ability and willingness to undertake some routine administrative tasks.
- Research skills.
- Excellent written English skills, equivalent to B2.2 on the CEFR scale.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.

- Undertake the role in a manner appropriate to the cultural context and within the local legal framework.
