Junior Designer

You will help turn design concepts into build-ready interface work and keep the ForeverMissed design system consistent, accurate, and straightforward for developers to implement.

• Working with the senior designer and dev team to prepare design concepts for development — creating components and integrating them with the existing UI toolkit.
• Performing design QA after implementation: checking spacing, typography, responsive behavior, component usage, and visual consistency against Figma.
• Keeping the ForeverMissed Figma UI kit aligned with the live product: updating components, variants, styles, design tokens, and documentation when the interface changes.
• Producing day-to-day design work: modifying existing elements, building new elements from components, and creating new themes.

• Strong Figma skills: components, variants, auto-layout, and shared libraries and styles.
• A solid understanding of component-based design and how a design system is structured.
• Good command of interface fundamentals: layout, spacing, typography, color, and responsive and adaptive design.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine care for consistency.
• A basic understanding of how designs are built in the browser (HTML and CSS concepts, and what is and is not straightforward to implement).
• Strong written English for reading requirements and communicating asynchronously.
• Comfortable using modern AI-assisted tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Figma AI to speed up research, UX writing, design exploration, documentation, and repetitive UI tasks — while still applying good design judgment.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with design tokens, CSS custom properties, and theming.
• Some exposure to front-end component structure (Vue or similar).
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
• Prototyping and basic interaction design.
• Awareness of accessibility fundamentals.
