CDL Driver Recruiter

As a driver recruiter, your role is crucial in ensuring that our company has a skilled and reliable team of truck drivers. You will be responsible for screening, and selecting candidates who possess the necessary qualifications and experience to excel in this role.

Your success as a driver recruiter will depend on your ability to build and maintain relationships with truck drivers. By staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, you will continuously enhance our recruitment processes and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

In this role, your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and screening resumes and applications to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and driving records.
• Conducting initial phone screenings and interviews to evaluate candidates' skills, knowledge, and suitability for the position.
• Verifying candidates' employment history, references, and credentials to ensure their qualifications align with company requirements and industry regulations.
• Collaborating with hiring managers and operations teams to understand their specific truck driver needs and requirements.
• Developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified truck drivers.
• Managing the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, coordinating pre-employment screenings (such as drug tests and background checks), and facilitating the onboarding process.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to truck driver recruitment.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of candidate information, recruitment activities, and hiring metrics.
• Providing regular updates and reports to management on recruitment progress, challenges, and successes.

Qualifications:

• Ability and willingness to work US working hours.
• Camera must be on during working hours.
• Previous experience in recruitment, particularly in the transportation or logistics industry is beneficial.
• A solid understanding of the trucking industry, including regulations, licensing requirements, and industry trends, is essential.
• Familiarity with different types of trucking positions, such as long-haul, local, or specialized driving, is also beneficial.
• Ability to attract qualified candidates, conduct effective interviews, and assess candidates' skills and qualifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for a driver recruiter. Must be able to effectively communicate with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
• Effective organizational skills.
