03/2023 – 05/2023 The United Nations Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme (UN RPP).
A series of in-person trainings for the war-affected population of Ukraine, aimed at developing entrepreneurial skills
for start, restoring, or developing their own business in wartime and post-war recovery conditions, and strengthening
the resilience of existing businesses. Ten five-day trainings were conducted in Voznesensk, Vinnytsia, Dnipro,
Romny, Nizhyn, Lviv, Uzhgorod, with coverage of the de-occupied territories of Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kharkiv, and
Sumy regions. Over 280 people participated in the trainings, of which over 240 were women.

UNDP project “Building Forward Better: Post-COVID Recovery of Ukraine’s MSMEs towards Resilience and
Sustainability”
The main objective of this assignment is to coordinate the activities on SDG related impact investment
development in Ukraine. Specifically, under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the National Lead
Expert shall support the implementation of the following tasks:
- Provide local expertise for the development of an SDG Investor Map for Ukraine;
- Facilitate identification of Ukraine’s SDG-enabling investment opportunities;
- Support the development of investment projects of Ukraine’s impact-oriented MSMEs;
- Support the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Investment Promotion Office in the
operationalization of the impact investment policy framework;
- Contribute to the organization of an SDG investment facilitation event;
- Facilitate engagement of MSMEs to the impact investment platform located on Diia.Business portal.
Identify MSME with interest in SDGs or aiming to create additional value through their projects. Contact
and meet MSMEs to share information about the impact investment platform, guidelines, and handbooks
available, and educate about the self-assessment tool. Provide full support to at least 25 impact-oriented
entrepreneurs with registration and publication of at least one (1) of their projects at the impact
investment platform (including guidance, support with preparation of the entries’ content and, if needed,
publication on behalf of the MSMEs). At least twelve (12) featured projects should be developed by
women-entrepreneurs or women-led MSMEs
09/2018 – 05/2021 Advisor SME Programming, Implementation & Coordination with Donors
SME Development Office (SMEDO)
The SME Development Office (SMEDO) is an advisory body within the Ministry of Economic Development and
Trade of Ukraine (MEDT) that provides technical assistance to the ministry and its ‘Department for Entrepreneurship
Development and Regulatory Policy’ in implementation of Ukraine’s SME Development Strategy 2020 and the
associated SME Support Action Plan.

Scope of Work:
1/ Programming, Coordination of Implementation and Communication: i) Setting framework conditions for creation
and implementation of SME support programmes (in coordination with MEDT, FORBIZ and donors); ii)
Establishment and expansion of cooperation with donors and international SME support institutions; iii) Support to
the institutional and BSO cooperation development and participation in international consortia; iv) Creation of
national, regional and local level projects, eligible to donor financing to SMEs or Business support organisations; v)
Creation and implementation of programmes and projects, focused on development of conditions for accessing
European funds, bilateral funds and other forms of international support for SMEs;vi) Collection and provision of
information about open calls for all SME-related bilateral and multilateral programmes; Info point for EU programmes
such as COSME, HORIZON2020, EEN, etc. vii) Establish/manage database on donor funded SME support
programmes (in UA) vii) Support to MEDT in shaping and coordination of complementary state programmes and
donor funded initiatives targeting specific priority SME groups/sectors (youth, women, IDPs, ATO veterans and
other).

2/ SME ITA programmes: i) Cooperation on implementation of donor funded projects focused on start-up and SME
sector in Ukraine;ii) Cooperation on implementation of programmes and projects for SMEs and business support
organisations financed by international donors;iii) Creation of data base on SME donor funded support programmes
from national and regional/local levels. iv) Support preparation of proposals eligible to donor financing, funds and

other forms of international support.

3/ Core Projects
1) 5-7-9 SME Lending Programme: i) to take part in pubilc meetings (onsite and online); ii) to take part as a key
educational expert in preparation and production of of the complex educational programme to the 5-7-9 programme
(trainings, seminars, consultancy, info-campaign etc.).
2) Start Your Business in Culture and Tourism: i) to be liason SMEDO person in concept preparation, project
implementation and partner communication, take part in partner's meetings, webinars, public events; ii) to deliver
training on business model, marketing, e-commerce, SMM, financial literacy for potential selected applicants; iii) to
prepare programme methodology, scaling-up csenario and recommendations.
3) Creative Accelerator - SME competitiveness & productivity: i) to be liason SMEDO person in concept preparation,
project implementation and partner communication, take part in partner's meetings, webinars, public events; ii) to
assist in promotion, participate in UCF grantees’ shortlisting, lead organisation of pitching sessions, investors’; iii) to
prepare programme methodology, scaling-up csenario and recommendations.
4) Anti-COVID19 action plan w a dedicated set of policy interventions to support SMEs: i) to prepare long list of
proposals; ii) to prepare and get support from MEDTA for at least 3 proposals; iii) to develop at least 3 concepts, state
budget programme briefs and draft budgets (according to MEDTA standards).
