I worked as part of a student linguistic research team focused on analysing
historical Ukrainian texts and early 20th-century political literature. My main
responsibilities included examining large volumes of written material, identifying
Languages archaic and outdated Ukrainian vocabulary, and compiling a structured lexicon of
old Ukrainian terms. I also conducted lexical, semantic, and contextual analysis to
English - C1 document how meanings changed over time. This project developed my skills in
historical linguistics, text analysis, and collaborative academic research.

The dictionary is a unique collection of words and expressions used by Stepan
Bandera – a symbol of the Ukrainian liberation movement. The book not only
reproduces the linguistic features of Ukraine of that time but also provides readers
with insight into the ideas, moods, and values that shaped Bandera’s activities and
those of his contemporaries. Each word captures the spirit of the era, the struggle
for freedom, and the preservation of national identity. This dictionary aims to
preserve linguistic traits that are gradually disappearing and to inspire the modern
generation to seek answers to contemporary challenges through the richness of
our historical heritage. The concept was developed by Dr. Iryna Farion, PhD in
Philology, a true patriot, nationalist, and Hero of Ukraine
