SUMMARY

Cybersecurity graduate with hands-on experience in Linux, Python, Docker, networking and
network security.

Developed a Python-based Network IDS/IPS for analyzing Modbus and network traffic,
detecting suspicious activity and simulated attacks. Worked with PCAP files, packet sniffing,
Scapy and iptables.

Also developed and containerized a Flask application with PostgreSQL using Docker
Compose.

Interested in starting a career in DevOps, DevSecOps or Security Engineering and
continuously improving practical skills in Linux, networking, automation and infrastructure.

Network IDS/IPS — Python, Scapy, Linux

Diploma project — Security of Modbus-based industrial network traffic

• Developed a Python-based IDS/IPS for analyzing network traffic and detecting
suspicious activity.

• Implemented PCAP analysis and live packet sniffing using Scapy.

• Added detection of suspicious source IP addresses and potentially dangerous Modbus
function codes.
 • Implemented basic rate-based attack/DDoS detection.

• Added automated IP blocking using iptables.

• Implemented logging of detected security incidents.

• Simulated network attacks and analyzed captured traffic.

• Worked with Modbus TCP traffic and network packet analysis.

• Containerized the IDS environment using Docker.

Currently improving: structured logging, JSON-based security events and log-file encryption.

Dockerized Flask Application — Python, Flask, PostgreSQL, Docker

• Developed a small Flask web application with user data stored in PostgreSQL.

• Implemented database interaction using psycopg2.

• Added parameterized SQL queries.

• Added a /health endpoint for application health checking.

• Containerized the application and PostgreSQL environment using Docker Compose.

• Worked with Docker networking and environment configuration.
