Linux System Administrator with hands-on experience in cloud and virtualized environments, seeking a remote position as an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer or System Administrator. Focused on maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure in cloud-based environments.

Degree in Radio Engineering

Technical Skills and Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience in system administration and cloud-based environments, including:
Linux Server Management:
Installation, configuration, and administration of Linux servers (Ubuntu, Debian).
Experience with system performance tuning, process management, user access control, and security hardening.
Cloud & Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI):
Practical experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including provisioning and configuring compute instances, basic networking setup, and resource monitoring.
Familiar with core OCI services (Compute, Networking, Storage) and cloud concepts such as high availability, scaling, and cost-aware resource usage.
Experience working with VPS/VDS environments in production-like scenarios.
Networking & Infrastructure:
Solid understanding of OSI Model and TCP/IP stack (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP).
Hands-on experience with IP addressing, subnetting, routing basics, and troubleshooting network issues.
Experience deploying and managing proxy solutions (3proxy, Squid), including authentication and traffic routing.
Web Infrastructure:
Deployment and maintenance of web servers (Nginx, Apache), including multi-service environments (Nginx + Apache + PHP + MySQL).
Basic performance optimization and troubleshooting of web services.
Monitoring & Incident Handling:
Experience monitoring server health and service availability.
Able to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application-level issues in a timely manner.
Security & Access Management:
DNS configuration, SSL/TLS certificate management, SMTP setup.
Understanding of basic security practices, firewall configuration, and access control principles.
DevOps & Automation (Basic):
Familiar with DevOps practices: service configuration, basic automation, working with scripts, and collaboration with development teams.
Databases:
Maintenance and troubleshooting of MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Control Panels:
cPanel, Hestia Control Panel.

Languages
English: Upper-Intermediate (comfortable with technical documentation)
French: Beginner
Russian: Native
