Anhelina l. Starkova, portrait

Anhelina L. Starkova is a practicing architect and curator. She was
the Head Curator and architect of the 7th edition of Tallinn
Architecture Biennale 2024, titled Resources for a Future. Her
practice explores new formal methods in architectural design, spatial
perception, and analysis through contemporary culture. Before
founding her own architectural studio, she worked as an architect at
the prestigious Meganom and as Chief Architect at the renowned
Drozdov & Partners, where she contributed to large-scale cultural
projects. As a practicing architect, she has collaborated with the
London-based Theatre Projects, Bolshoi Theatre, Funkhaus Berlin,
Roshen, Bernaskoni, Norman Foster Foundation and the Office of
the President of Ukraine, among others. Together with Swiss
architect Valerio Olgiati, she co-authored and edited the translation
of Non-Referential Architecture. Anhelina has been an invited
lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons, Kharkiv
School of Architecture, and the educational platform Auditoria by
MArchI. She was also a finalist in the Chief Curator selection for the
7th edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale. Her architectural
projects and articles have been widely published and exhibited,
including in Dezeen, Bauwelt, The Architect's Newspaper, ArchDaily,
UrbanNext, MOMus, MAO, Igloo Magazine, Paletten, and Bund
Deutscher Architekten, among others.
