Head of Operations

Save Ukraine is the largest humanitarian organization dedicated to supporting families across Ukraine. Founded in 2014, Save Ukraine’s mission is to protect children and families affected by the war. Our work focuses on assisting the most vulnerable Ukrainians, including orphans, children with disabilities, internally displaced persons, and survivors of violence. We evacuate families from frontline areas and territories temporarily occupied by Russia.

We are the only humanitarian organization that regularly conducts rescue missions to bring forcibly deported Ukrainian children back home.

Save Ukraine unites dozens of organizations and hundreds of volunteers to help those affected by the war rebuild their lives.

Save Ukraine is currently looking for a Head of Operations Department with English language proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and launch new social impact projects.
• Develop project budgets in collaboration with the Development team.
• Prepare salary proposals for project staff and manage personnel budgets.
• Plan, participate in recruitment, and organize the work of social project teams.
• Organize operational processes and manage the organization’s project portfolio.
• Develop internal policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure efficient operations, including compensation and motivation frameworks.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure the timely continuation of social projects.
• Prepare requests for additional funding when required.
• Organize project reporting for the Supervisory Board and other key stakeholders.
• Communicate with project stakeholders, including government authorities, municipal institutions, and NGOs.
• Participate in strategic planning and contribute recommendations for organizational growth and development.

We are looking for a professional who has:

• At least 2 years of proven leadership experience, preferably as an Operations Director, Head of Operations, or Project Manager.
• Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Experience in budgeting and financial management.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• English proficiency of Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.
• Experience preparing and delivering presentations.
