both sides of the settlement sheet - finding freight, negotiating rates, and planning my own weeks was my job for years. I have a
general working understanding of what a dispatch desk involves day to day, and I pick up new systems quickly. Fluent in English,
Russian, and Ukrainian - able to communicate directly with drivers, brokers, and shippers without a language barrier.
WHAT I BRING THAT MOST DISPATCHERS DON'T
• 13 years behind the wheel. I know what a driver can realistically run in a day, what HOS leaves on the clock, and when an
appointment time isn't achievable - before the load is booked, not after.
• Owner-operator experience. I've paid for my own fuel, tires, insurance, and repairs, so I read a rate the way an owner does -
against cost per mile, not gross.
• I know the workflow from the other side of it. Thirteen years of dispatch calls, check calls, and paperwork gave me a general
picture of how the desk runs - load assignment, appointments, rate cons, BOL/POD, invoicing - and I learn a new system
fast.
• Multi-equipment. Dry van, reefer, flatbed, and Conestoga - including securement, tarping, temperature requirements, and
the differences in what each freight type demands.
• Trilingual. Direct communication with English-, Russian-, and Ukrainian-speaking drivers, which reduces misunderstandings
on securement, appointments, and paperwork.
• Full US business-day coverage. Available 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central, so drivers, brokers, and shippers reach me during their
own working hours - not on a delay.
